Texas Water Safari

There’s a nice little write-up in one of the local Texas papers concerning the Texas Water Safari race. For those that aren’t aware of what it is, it’s an annual paddling race that spans roughly 300 miles in the Texas heat. The race was postponed from the usual June date to July 10th due to flooding.

Personally, I think I would have wanted (if I was racing) to chance the flood waters, knowing they would have brought more speed, not to mention that June is slightly cooler than July.
